Lava launches X80 tablet with 8-inch HD display at Rs 9,999

Lava today launched a new tablet X80 in India at a price tag of Rs 9,999. The tablet will be available to buy at offline retail stores and multi-brand showrooms across the country. Lava X80 packs in a quad-core Intel Atom processor running at 1.83GHz. The tablet has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. The processor in the X80 tablet is supported by an Intel Baytrail graphic chipset for gaming requirements. Lava X80 has an 8-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet has a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash on the back and a 3.2-megapixel camera up front. It is powered by a 4,200mAh battery. The X80 tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The tablet also supports 3G connectivity with GSM 900/1800 MHz and 2100 Mbps HSPA support. Lava X80 can also be used for calling using the earphones. "We are delighted to announce the launch of Lava X80. With the evolving internet penetration and thus want of enhanced multimedia usage by consumers, Lava X80 is designed to offer next generation experience to consumers," said Raman Sharma, VP and head of tablets and IT, Lava International. The tablet offers manufacturer warranty for a year along with 6 months warranty for the in-box accessories which include battery, headset, charger and a USB Cable
