Gionee S9 now official with a dual-camera setup

Gionee freshly announced the S9 in China yesterday with a fairly attractive hardware specs sheet underneath. The key feature here, as you would already know, is the dual-camera on the back. This has become an industry standard now with several manufacturers trying out this concept, so it’s not really surprising to see Gionee joining the bandwagon.
The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display on board, which might not be on par with most flagships today, but is just about the perfect size and resolution for a modern day smartphone. While all the talk will be about the dual-cameras on the back, Gionee has used an attractive 13MP sensor on the front as well, accompanied by the company’s selfie flash feature.
The handset will be officially available starting November 25 in China for 2499 CNY (Rs 24,600 approx). It’s still not known if the company plans to bring the device to the Indian shores.
